I describe myself as a seeker, shaper, and connector. I live with awareness; moving between silence and conversation, between the woods and the city. I love beauty, simplicity, and meaningful relationships. I believe in the power of energy and curiosity on the one hand, and gratitude and empathy on the other. My path runs from head to heart, from knowing to being — with both feet firmly on the ground.

Background

I studied economics, earned an MBA, and lived for three years in a monastery in Japan.

That combination typifies my path: one of head and heart, strategy and meaning, and adventure and depth. I worked in marketing roles at Canon and in the telecom sector and co-founded several startups. I introduced my own beer brand to the international hospitality market. Later I became a partner at Team Academy, guiding young entrepreneurs — in the Netherlands and on journeys to California, China, and India.

Gradually my focus shifted from building to guiding. Since 2018 I’ve worked as a coach and mentor for people at crossroads; leaders, entrepreneurs, doers, seekers. I help them reconnect with who they are and make choices from there.

Alongside my own practice, I’m affiliated with Nyenrode as a lecturer in entrepreneurship and leadership, and as a coach. I’m an MMS coach and spent five enriching years in Jaap Voigt’s peer-supervision group.
